Guidera O'Connor has announced it has entered into an agreement to be acquired by Osmoflo, an Australian-headquartered specialist water treatment company and part of Kanadevia Group.
This acquisition brings together two complementary businesses to create a stronger, more connected water and wastewater infrastructure partner.
Guidera O'Connor brings municipal water and wastewater expertise, design and construct capability, engineering strength, project delivery experience, and strong customer relationships, particularly across the Australian municipal water sector. Osmoflo brings specialist membrane water treatment, desalination, technology, operations, asset performance, and optimisation capability.
Together, the businesses will be better positioned to support customers across more of the water and wastewater asset lifecycle, from planning, design and construction through to commissioning, operations, maintenance, optimisation, long-term performance, and asset renewal.
For Guidera O'Connor, this is an important step that strengthens our foundations while preserving what has made the business successful: our relationship-led approach, our technical expertise, and our commitment to delivering critical water and wastewater infrastructure for Australian communities.
The Australian water sector is under increasing pressure from changing regulation, ageing assets, budget constraints, population growth, climate change, and rising sustainability expectations. By bringing together broader capability and capacity, Guidera O'Connor and Osmoflo will be better positioned to help customers respond to these challenges and deliver reliable, resilient, and sustainable water and wastewater infrastructure.
As part of Kanadevia Group, Osmoflo is backed by a global parent company committed to Technology for People and Planet. This gives the combined organisation greater financial strength, long-term investment confidence, and the ability to support larger, more complex, and long-term water and wastewater infrastructure needs.
Tony Guidera, Founder and Director of Guidera O'Connor, said the acquisition creates significant opportunities for Guidera O'Connor customers and employees.
“I am excited by the opportunities this acquisition brings for Guidera O'Connor and our team. Kanadevia's financial backing, combined with Osmoflo's specialised technical expertise and operations experience, will allow us to target a wider range of complex projects across a more diversified customer base.”
“For our people, this provides long-term stability and the opportunity to tackle larger, highly rewarding infrastructure challenges into the future. Ultimately, uniting our construction capability with Osmoflo's technical and operational strengths will provide our clients with exceptional, high-value solutions across the entire water and wastewater asset lifecycle.”
Carmine Ciccocioppo, CEO and MD of Osmoflo, said the acquisition strengthens Osmoflo's ability to support customers from project delivery through to long-term asset performance.
“This acquisition reflects Kanadevia Group's commitment to growing its global water solutions business and delivering Technology for People and Planet. As customers face increasingly complex water and wastewater infrastructure challenges, the addition of Guidera O'Connor strengthens Osmoflo's ability to provide greater capability, turn-key solutions, and confidence from project delivery through to long-term asset performance.”
Existing customers, partners, and suppliers will continue to work with their current contacts. Existing relationships, commitments, and current projects remain a priority as the acquisition progresses.
